In July 2024, I got my wallet stolen when I had to sleep outside the Hertz in Salt Lake City airport. It was a beautiful blue Brahmin wallet and I loved it, but it was just a thing. Finally replaced it this last weekend with a Kate Spade. I absolutely love that it glitters.

I was 350 lbs and hardly taking care of myself, with uncontrolled diabetes (400 mg/dL sugar). Call me what you want; it’s no worse than what I’ve called myself. Transitioning is an absolute last resort. But as palliative care, it has given my life back. Not sorry.
