Govt messaging clash: Local Govt Minister Garwe: Govt doesn't recognize Bulelani coz it's unconstitutional. Jenfan Muswere Information & Publicity : Govt recognizes and celebrates king Mzilikazi. Cekebrating tribal kings stokes divisive ethnic nationalism

It's understandable coz Shonas endured double colonization. First they were colonized by the Zulu/Ndebele from 1837-1893, then by the British 1890-1980. That's why you get Ndebele names on Shonas eg Sibongile, Nyembesi, Thandiwe etc but never Shona names on Ndebeles

The Matebeleland question shouldn't be simplistically reduced to appeasing Ndebeles. It should also shine spotlight on Ndebele-local tribes relations from 1837 Ndebele subjugation of locals and scars thereof mmatigari Fortune Chasi Fortune Daniel Molokele African Farai Shoko Makate Kenneth Kanyayi

When political and business leaders in developing (poor) countries are asked how their economies can be improved, they all start talking about “private sector partnership/involvement”. This is bullshit. Where exactly have they seen any country being developed like that? The fact

This was a celebration meant for Matebele/Ndebele nation as the "owners" of the event say here. So why was Steve Vickers dragging a whole national broadcaster Star FM into a tribal event?

The truth the school & the media doesn't make known. They teach that the state is the problem & at the same time teach that the state sld provide jobs. The conflict results in cognitive dissonance creating anger against the state. We're by design, always angry against our leaders

For Shonas joining to celebrate mzilikazi day is the same as joining Rhodies celebrating cj rhodes day in the name of culture. The only difference btwn the two is the colour of their skins!

Ndebeles are 💯 Zimbabwean. They've a right to practice their culture. However, IT'S NOT RIGHT to elevate tribal activities to national events where state machinery is deployed to advance a tribal agenda. That's why govt declined coronation of King Bulelani. It promotes secession

This German Archaeologist saw the wonder of several African ancient civilizations and monuments, yet he could not believe or acknowledge it to black Africans. He made up a story that people from Atlantis came to built them in Africa.
