Loyal to Samsung Mobile for 10+ years, from Note 4 Edge to Fold 3. Loved each innovation. Yet, my Fold 3's screen failed without damage—repair costs? As high as new flagships. Disappointed. #Samsung Samsung India

To add context, I've been with Samsung since the experimental days of the Note 4 Edge. I even stuck with them through the Note 7 recall, buying a Note 8 right after.

I've invested in their flagship models over the years, most recently the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the innovative Fold 3, which really felt like the future of smartphones.

My Fold 3 seemed perfect until recently when, without any signs of physical damage, the inner screen started turning black from the center outwards.

When I reached out for service, the quoted repair cost was so high, it's comparable to buying a new flagship from other brands. This has really made me question my loyalty.

I was all set to upgrade to the AI-powered Fold 6, but this experience has me looking at alternatives for the first time. I love technology, but I'm feeling pretty let down.
