I have long theorised that the argument about going to a three-man-crew being detrimental due to maintenance/security tasks was also fought over when going from five men to four and found insufficient, but it's nice to see something in writing in the archive (Written 1991 when

Five-man M60 crews: On the previous note, the US Army has prior experience with assigning more men to a tank than the tank needs inside the tank to fight. An experiment was trialed in 1977/78. It was successful, the problem is in the fact that the Manpower Gods thought it

So something I still haven't figured out. Autotrain is one of the most popular and profit-making things Amtrak does. Why the heck don't we have a trans-continental one? Or just chuck a couple of the car carriers onto the back of the Texas Eagle/Sunset Limited combo to cover both

I would like MOAR DAKKA on my tank, please... Clearing a jam on one of the lower cal. .50s looks annoying... but then there are still another five.

Back in Maneuver Captain's Course, the Wargaming part of COA Development was always fun. According to the instructors, all RedFor moves had to have a tactical task, but we decided they had different doctrine to us. We made these cards to allow more 'fun' in the wargaming process,

Either they had a freak windstorm or sometime in Australia tried setting an infantry tank speed record and messed up a turn. I didn't think it was even possible to roll a Tillie on the flat, not that I'm aware of much testing on the matter. Is it possible it fell off a flatbed

The fun thing about owning an out of warranty car is you can do repairs without too much concern. (Unless you utterly balls it up). In this case, the infamously common F10 door handle replacement.

Oh, for crying out loud. No sooner do I put the BMW back together than my kid for reasons completely unknown decides that the back of the passenger seat in the (20-year-old) Audi is a folding table and breaks the adhesive holding it together. Epoxy will fix this, right?
