Martin Hellier has a nasty side. I hope he can keep this in check and not turn the club into a bully boy culture. After 40 years of being a dedicated fan, I am thinking of leaving sadly.

Good interview by Martin Hellier this morning. Glad that he has apologised for the abuse on Twitter and that he will be stopping using the platform. COYG

I have now been blocked from YTFC’s official twitter feed!! Gobsmackingly unbelievable!!! What on earth is he afraid of??

No more from me on why SSDC purchased YTFC to help survival post Covid until a new owner could purchase back. A club owner can sell to whom they like when the like and it’s not up to a Council to get involved. 1/2

Some think the SSDC rescue wrong not likely to change their minds. Hopefully the land will soon be back as always intended. My part as the ‘owner’ of the unanimous decision resulted in foul abuse and a ban from the club. No longer involved, no regrets, integrity intact. COYG 2/2

Lords voted 154-68 to let Tory govt change the Public Order Act through the back door, Unprecedented. Our freedoms to protest gone; police have carte blanche, no accountability. Labour peers told to abstain on Jenny Jones' motion. I voted for it. We have a police state.

Too much of the policy debate around rising mortgage costs has centred on things that will never happen, or are already happening. Instead, read this piece by Torsten Bell on what the government might actually do to tackle the mortgage crunch resolutionfoundation.org/comment/what-t…

Are you the same guy who dropped his house building targets? Because I’m the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. This is desperate nonsense.

The UK government's criminalisation of rough sleeping, now passing through Parliament in the Criminal Justice Bill, is overseen by a Prime Minister who owns four luxury homes for his own use. One of them, in Kensington, is reserved for accommodating family guests.🧵

In the European values survey, some 5% of Brits ticked “Muslims,” as people they don’t want as neighbours while 2% ticked “People of a different race,” and 6% ticked “Immigrants.” Compare those figures with Germany (16% 5% and 7% respectively) and Italy (20%, 12%, and 18%), and
