Take it from someone who has actually accomplished something in chess - I have seen this method of parenting over and over again, and it leads to a dead end. If you're lucky, your child will grow up to hate chess. If you're not, they will grow up to hate you.

If a doctor is unwilling to provide care to patients that they don't agree with, they're in the wrong profession. Any ethical, moral, or religious beliefs stating that some people "deserve to die" do not deserve legal representation. This will only cause pain.

Just finished my last game of the Cherry Blossom Classic! Final score 5.5/9, including games against 1 GM, 6 IMs, and 2 NMs (I beat the GM). I didn't play down until round 8, lol. Gaining roughly 60 FIDE rating points from this. It's good to be back 💪

(I am cis.) "Cis" is not a slur. You are either cisgender or transgender - the union of those two sets includes every human alive. The secondary definition for "cisgender" is literally "not transgender". Is Elon threatening suspension for...accusing someone of not being trans?
