Thanks to the Stowers Crossroads for organizing an amazing meeting full of cool science and amazing talks. Had lots of fun talking about my project and getting lots of cool feedback #CRC23 Stowers Institute

I am happy to share that I have successfully defended my dissertation and I’m officially Dr. Pérez! I’ve been fortunate to receive great mentorship within Stowers Institute and KU Medical Center. I am very grateful to my mentor Kausik Si. So excited for my next adventure as a postdoc!

🚨Preprint‼️ 1/ Predicting neural activity is notoriously difficult and requires complicated models. Here we develop simple “minimodels” which explain 70% of neural variance in V1! 🐭🐒 #neuroai Carsen Stringer @[email protected] Marius Pachitariu Miguel Núñez 🇲🇽 Paper: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Recording 🔬 :
