I'm thrilled to hear that my old friend, John Avlon, is running for Congress in #NY01 to help save our democracy. It's a precarious time for our country and the world, in so many critical ways, so we all need to step up, before it's too late.

Reflecting on my experiences, like how we spent our childhood summers drag-netting silversides along the sandy beaches and sharing these moments with Ryan knighton, makes the issues of endangered species, pollution, the contamination of our wild foods profoundly sad and personal.
