Most of my move done. Not in the new place, but cooking for some of my lovely friends who have looked after me, and chilling with a beer. To the future.

I am absolutely reliant on non-clinical roles to do my job: Ordering the equipment I use. Making the IT work. Cleaning the hospital. Moving patients around. Stocking up the equipment I use. Fixing equipment that breaks. Heating, lighting, plumbing. Commercial contracting.

Absolutely. Everywhere seems to be doing this. It just creates fear and disenfranchised staff. Who don’t work efficiently. To run a health service has a cost that must be appropriately met. Could we be more efficient? Probably. Does that require pump priming investment? Yes.

Clinicians at Nottingham University Hospitals are among the first to use eMED3 fit notes to support primary care colleagues. Generating digital fit notes directly within Nervecentre means fewer GP appointments. Jeremy Lewis says it’s a “real win-win” More here: buff.ly/J9yKCqD

Thank you to our dedicated colleagues who have been working round the clock to continue to provide three meals a day for all our patients, following a fire in the catering area of the LRI restaurant on Saturday night.

Less admin. More time for patient care. With #eMED3 in Nervecentre, issuing a fit note has never been easier. Patients get a clear, legible fit note instantly - printed or sent by email. They don’t need to book a separate GP appointment. GPs benefit from reduced workload.
