Praveen Chatani, MD, a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellow, presented research at the Society of Surgical Oncology 2025 Annual Meeting challenging the current standard of care for staging colon cancer, which calls for removal and examination of 12 lymph nodes: bit.ly/3FKA09m


Results from a study presented by Fox Chase's Hannah Buettner, MD, at the Society of Surgical Oncology 2025 Annual Meeting suggest that chemotherapy followed by local excision is a promising treatment option for patients with node-negative low rectal cancer: bit.ly/43zZuAf
