Lt. Jonovich recently taught a fire safety demo at Park Elementary School. Teaching our young ones early about 9-1-1, fire escape plans, “learn not to burn”, and close-before-you-doze are integral parts of early fire safety initiatives.

Before your little ghouls and goblins head out, have a quick chat about fire safety. 🎃 Remind trick-or-treaters to stay at least three feet away from any open flames, including jack-o'-lanterns with real candles. A safe distance is a smart distance.

Just a reminder, costumes should include reflectivity and/or lights. With the rain and wind expected, visibility will be an issue tomorrow night for trick or treating. Halloween is the #1 night for pedestrian accidents!
