ToBE is an exciting opportunity for anyone doing research in healthcare and biomedical engineering field to participate in building biomed eng community. Abstract deadline Monday March 2nd. Can also register or sponsor. Krembil Research Institute UHN Research Biomedical Zone HealthInnovationHub @jlabs

We hope to see you there!! Midnight tonight for abstract submission, registration is open too! 3 minute thesis, posters, oral presentation to submit. Workshops to attend. Great keynotes! All doing work in biomedical engineering welcome ECE U of T Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry @ U of T U of T Materials Eng uoftmie

Very fortunate to work with individuals with #epilepsy out of Dr. Valiante lab. People I work with may have to shave their heads for a procedure to identify seizure location. If you want to see me shave my head please donate. See results on March 26th Purple Day! #PurpleDayUHN

March 26th is Purple Day /Epilepsy Awareness Day. We want to bring the community virtually together. We understand if u can't donate, but please tune into our home video shave! bit.ly/2PKLDAl (Epilepsy Toronto ) bit.ly/2TjcdTl #PurpleDayUHN (Epilepsy Canada)

Looking forward to raising awareness today with virtual purple day. I will be on Epilepsy Toronto Facebook live event from 3-4PM EST. Hope everyone is staying well, safe and at home. #PurpleDayUHN #StayHomeStayConnected

Happy to have participated in raising awareness for epilepsy one head of hair at a time. Thank you Epilepsy Toronto for hosting and Krembil Research Institute University Health Network Dr. Valiante creating such great research community. Hope everyone stays home safe and Happy Purple Day! #PurpleDayUHN

The community is getting together for Stitch4Corona Lets help all those we can around the GTA. Volunteer sign up to sew and requests for these masks are available at stitch4corona.ca. This is a community based initiative to help in this emergency situation. Stay Safe!

A great opportunity to stitch for yourself but also stitch for others who need it. André Picard see Stitch4Corona for ways to get involved in GTA and help the community. stitch4corona.ca

Important to see masks made by volunteers in community going to places that need them!! Everyone can help in their own ways during this challenging time Stitch4Corona Michael Garron Hospital Sign up and learn more at stitch4corona.ca

Most importantly thank you to the close to 300 volunteers who have signed up to sew. We are continually working on expanding materials and kits. Every mask helps! Learn more at stitch4corona.ca And follow Stitch4Corona to see where these masks and your efforts are going!

Lucky to be part of initiatives on efforts in community and research. Take a look at Kramay Patel preprint on humans ability to voluntary control even a single neuron and exciting implications for future work in neuromodulation @C_R_A_N_I_A Dr. Valiante Neuron To Brain Lab @MilosRPopovic

Thanks Chris Yip Julie Audet and Karam from @GecosUoft for facilitating a great town hall. Close to 150 attendees and I personally learned a lot and appreciate the efforts @uoftengineering and at University of Toronto are doing on behalf of our student community!

Thank you to all the amazing tremendous volunteers. Humbled by the amazing community support to mask as many as possible and help together in these uncertain times. Also not possible without collaborators such as King & Bay Custom Clothing Inc., sewingforchange mask4covid, and sewForTo.#Masks4All

Always wanted to learn about what makes humans unique. I am privileged to work and learn from people out of Neuron To Brain Lab Krembil Research Institute Biomedical Engineering @ University of Toronto every day and always ask questions. This work on insight into visual responses in memory structures is 1st step hopefully of many more!

Honoured to work with @EsBukuroshi on different teams over the last 4 years on GECoS UofT. Although, I will be sad to see her leave I can't wait to see all she will accomplish in the future. She tirelessly advocates for students @uoftengineering, and is an inspiration to us all!

Very excited to see all great efforts of Dr. Samantha Cheung and her conference team and posters across faculty @uoftengineering! Panels today as well and great schedule throughout the day and tomorrow as well! Registration still available for UTERC at : gradstudies.engineering.utoronto.ca/u-of-t-enginee…

Published a preprint on brain stimulation interactions with memory and eye movement in individuals with epilepsy. Incredibly fortunate to continue this research. Grateful to participants & Dr. Duncan Duncan Lab and supervisor Dr. Valiante Neuron To Brain Lab biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
