We're thrilled Bangor University to become partners in two strong consortia as part of this - the Environmental Biotechnology Innovation Centre led by Fred Coulon Cranfield University, and Preventing Plastic Pollution with Engineering Biology (P3EB) led by Andy Pickford University of Portsmouth. Ymlaen!

Just published in Environmental Microbiome - our latest paper exploring #plastic colonisation dynamics and #AMR gene persistence in #plastisphere communities with colleagues Davey Jones @DNThomas01 Joseph A. This week we have received Hairong Ma, coming from our FuturEnzyme ‘s partner @BangorUniversity (School of Natural Sciences, Peter Golyshing group), and will be with us around a month performing some experiments for her PhD. We hope she enjoys her stay here and the nice weather!

On 28th May,Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf organized a symposium in honor of Prof. Dr. Karl-Erich Jaeger, one of the essential members of our consortium, with more than 40 years of experience in the world of microbial and enzymatic technologies. His retirement is a well deserved step, we will miss him!
