Hey #mtbos and #iteachmath I'm looking to buy some classroom sets of personal/laptop whiteboards with grids on one side and blank on the other. Anyone found such a thing that works and is affordable? Brands, links, or alternative suggestions welcome.

Many are understandably disillusioned with the idea that everyone should get a college degree. One alternative is a shorter vocational certification. Lawmakers in DC are debating whether to increase federal funding for them. A thread on short-term certificate programs.

The general slope/𝑦-intercept eqn of a line would be better expressed as 𝑦=𝑏𝑥+𝑐. It's consistent with the general eqn of a parabola 𝑦=𝑎𝑥²+𝑏𝑥+𝑐, and the 𝑐 is consistent with the constant used in integral calculus. How many books use 𝑦=𝑚𝑥+𝑏? #mathchat #mtbos
