A lovely sunny day for the scottishathletics East District Champs at Pitreavie today and a well earned 1500m PB

Absolutely smashed her PB tonight at the scottishathletics Sri Chinmoy 5K Champs in Cramond. Totally buzzing with her wee self, finishing 3rd in her age category. Sadly no pineapples 🍍 or medals for the U15 and U17 age groups.

After years of cheering and looking up to Morag Millar this one is now old enough to run in the same race as her at the scottishathletics Sri Chinmoy 5k Champs. Another great strong run from Morag 🍍 🥇 #inspirationalrunner

Stirling Uni scottishathletics open graded today with this one running 1500m. Perfect conditions, albeit a bit too warm. Missed out on a PB by 4 seconds, when asked how it went she said ‘the last 200m was fxxking shxx’ raging 😤.

Back to where Amber’s introduction to the games circuit began, Markinch, where we experienced 4 seasons in one day! Always great to catch up with some familiar faces. Not a bad day with prizes in the 400m, 800m and the mile.

Two days after the Hogmanay celebrations (1971) in Scotland, 8 school friends, the youngest just 13 hurried along the road in Markinch talking excitedly about the day ahead. Only 3 of these boys came home to their parents. Rangers Football Club Celtic Football Club 💚💙

Not the race she’d hoped for today at the scottishathletics JYHS PE SSAA 800m. Races postponed until the thunder stopped and the nerves had taken over by the time they resumed.

2 hour round trip for my daughter to run at the National Relays and you’re charging spectators (us parents) £4/£6 each. Up to £12 to watch 2.30 mins of running. We’ll think twice before entering her into races in the future!#SALtogether SALChiefExec scottishathletics
