It is extremely important for educators to work on their mental & physical health right now. Whether school is in person or virtual, we are dealing with stress that we have never encountered. Take time for yourself daily/weekly - read, walk, rest, spend time with loved ones.

Education is not about test scores or grades. Those are arbitrary by-products of the educational process. True education is bringing out the talents, strengths, and passions of our students to help them be exponentially more successful in life.

Every teacher should feel valued and supported by their administration everyday.

It now appears we have a greater than 50% chance for below normal temperatures for the first week in October. I think we are done with the 90s for the year.

I had an amazing time tonight teaching my niece to divide decimals! It made me really miss being in the classroom... She mastered that skill in minutes. If only I could be a math teacher for a block, a music teacher for a block, and an administrator for the remainder of the day.

I appreciate admin and districts who give teachers time to plan and collaborate DURING the school day. This is more important than most meetings. This shows they value teachers' time professionally and personally (evenings and weekend).
