🌟CONGRATULATIONS🌟 to Isla Keesje Davidson on a successful defence of her #PhD thesis, 'Fish Interactions in Coral Reefs: from Multiple Senses to Multiple Stressors'. 🐠🐟 HURRAH! 🥂 A job extremely well done. Thanks to Theresa Rueger & Stephanie L King @stephanielking.bsky.social as examiners. #ProudSupervisors

"We've heard what happens when humans change their behaviour. We've heard what happens when we restore habitats. We've heard glimpses of a future which isn't one we need to fear." Thanks to BBC Future for sharing some #OceanOptimism bbc.com/future/article…

Excited to be characterising the acoustic footprint of a SailGP event! SailGP has a strong desire to reduce its #environmentalimpact making it the perfect case study for exploring #mitigation options. Bring on the #F50s! Check out this SailGP video for a summary of what we got up to in Cádiz!⛵️ WATCH: Inside SailGP’s groundbreaking research into underwater noise pollution at race events sailgp.com/news/23/cadiz-… University of Bristol Biological Sciences @ExeterMarine Mike Laflin Prof. Steve Simpson Dwarf Mongoose Evie Croxford

Thanks to messages from everyone who heard me on BBC More or Less today, clearly a surprise for some to hear my voice on their car radio? Great to speak with Tim Harford and set the record straight about shark & chips! Exeter Biosciences @ExeterMarine bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

We were so lucky to welcome marine biologist Cathy Hobbs to lead our Enrichment session on Marine Acoustics this evening. Students learnt how global warming and noise pollution are affecting our coral reefs and how we can use innovative technology to improve the situation 🐠

Huge thanks to the London Interdisciplinary School The London Interdisciplinary School (LIS) for hosting our immersive Listening Installation. Builds on inspiring collaborations with Mary Shodipo Clemency White 🦈 Cathy Hobbs Ben Williams Isla Keesje Davidson et al, all brought together by Dave Erasmus #Aqoustics

🚨🚨🌊PhD alert! Fully funded PhD position with me, Safi Darden and Ashlee Lillis with fieldwork investigating the bioacoustics and behavioural ecology of snapping shrimp on the Great Barrier Reef and their role in reef resilience! exeter.ac.uk/study/funding/… Pls RT

Scientists’ experiment is ‘beacon of hope’ for coral reefs on brink of global collapse Thanks @Guardian for covering this, and for understanding our aims to boost reef recovery in the short term while we fix climate change in the long term. #OceanOptimism theguardian.com/environment/20…

Love getting to celebrate #ECR success 😀 CONGRATULATIONS lauren on her 1st #paper (from her brilliant #Masters) 🌟 All the hard yards in the field were worth it 😊 doi.org/10.1098/rsos.2… Thanks to Amy Morris-Drake Josh Arbon Robyn Megan Layton Julie Kern
