The Holy See instructed us to distribute ashes this year this way: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return” or “Turn away from sin and believe in the Gospel” is said once over the assembly, followed by ashes simply sprinkled on each person's bowed head.

Fr Paul Adalaide Counce is relieved of St. Joseph Cathedral‘s pastorate, to transition back to fulltime ministry with the DioGoPira Tribunal. Bp Duca has apptd Fr Cary Bani to be pastor of St. Joseph Cathedral, for 6 yrs, as of Thu, Jul 1. More info RE the transition will be announced when finalized.

Effective Jun 7 Bp Duca has ended his dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass (on Sundays & days of obligation, or their vigils) without sufficient reason. Masks are no longer required in church for the vaccinated.
