It’s been an enormous privilege to be the UK Ambassador to Mali and on-Resident Ambassador to Niger during the last 2yrs when the UK has been expanding its presence in the Sahel and deepening our bilateral relations with both countries.

I’d like to pay tribute to all the individuals and organisations I’ve met or have worked with during my posting who are committed to helping overcome the various challenges affecting the region to deliver a more peaceful and prosperous future for the people of Mali and Niger.

I leave with many warm memories and friendships that will stay with me. I’d like to wish my successors Guy Warrington in Mali & @CatherineInglehearn in Niger all the best for their postings.
