This article has some very important real talk all universities should care about. If you value your grad students and their success/mental health-stop setting funding minimums for LESS than minimum wage and stop charging full tuition for research-based degrees

Another year of tuition "engagement" by University of British Columbia which finds that 80% of students struggle financially w/ housing & food, near-universal opposition to tuition increase, and UBC pushes forward anyway. My question: is there a threshold where this would matter? If not, why the charade?
