I signed an offer for my DREAM job in industry!! Leaving my phd program and academia. Can’t wait to make a positive impact and have some disposable income for the first time in my life 🥹

Was invited to my work’s audiology journal club and I’m so thankful! Even though I’ve transitioned to human factors engineering, it’s great to still have the opportunity to stay up to date on the research front. Leaving academia was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made

I picked up stained glass as a hobby and I’m so happy the studio is slowly turning into my third place. Going to post glass updates here soon!!!

It’s been just over 6 months at my job post-phd dropout and i LOVE it. My colleagues and environment are great and I no longer feel drained at the end of the day and anxious all the time. Academia told me that I needed the PhD to succeed, but all I needed was redirection 💕

The best part of working for a swiss company is that whenever we have visitors from HQ, they always bring chocolate

Found out that one of my colleagues also left their PhD!!! TWINSIES ✨ I swear this isn’t my whole personality but normalizing dropping out is something that’s important to me.

Growing up means that exam season (April) is now exclusively tax&tattoos season 🙃
