Before I go in here, former devs, is it insane to expect the team to routinely playtest? Or are those brutal expectations? Cause if daily playtesting is as normal as I think, DICE might have just won the world championship in championing something that should be the standard.

All I hope is that the studio(s) truly value and act on the feedback this time. There have been so many times where the receptance of feedback has seemed disingenuous and dismissed in recent titles. That's the difference between this being a great olive branch or a PR stunt.

Think what I'm most looking forward to with the next Battlefield game is the opportunity to play it with a more casual mindset. Like just being able to load up and play it because I want to - not because I'm grinding for content, for clips or to keep myself sharp. Factory reset.

Think my only takeaway from watching the leaked footage is that it looks like the complete antithesis to 2042 - visually, aesthetically, spiritually. There is no promise it will be good but I appreciate the attempt to wash the taste out of players mouths.

Went to that dude's YT who is posting literally every leak about the new BF game here on Twitter. Nothing but CoD slop. Literally doing this because it's getting clicks. Not that it would be okay if he was a BF player but still. It's fucking embarrassing. Feel bad for the devs.

Maybe (?) a hot take but making a good BF game ≠ Make BF3/BF4 but in 2025. There are many ways to make a good game & the obsession with returning to 'the golden age' makes people tunnel vision and freak out over things that play a minor role in the quality of the actual game.

I'll tell you what though, I haven't thought of playing BF since 2023 but the moment I watched gameplay of the new game, it got me excited. The franchise will always have gravitational pull, they just need to not release a dumpster fire and then double down it.
