Fantastic news from Economy NI today – in 2020, 49.2% of N.I. electricity came from #renewable sources, an increase of 5.6% from 2019! Of this renewable energy, 84.9% was generated from wind. Read more: bit.ly/3kJsVY8


Almost half of electricity consumed in NI last year (49.2%) was generated from local renewable sources. That's a rise of 5.6% on the figure for 2019. Steven Agnew, head of RenewableNI, called it a remarkable milestone.
