This is spot on: Banning economic transactions rarely/never works. And ransomware payments are far too common to easily undermine. So, any ban needs to come hand in hand with a joined up set of complementary policies that reduce the incentives to pay. There is no quick fix.

Interesting data here. Seems that Leicester ends up with a similar number of graduates as study in the area. So, no signs of a 'brain drain' out of the city.

Lets hope the new football regulator has some teeth because this is getting ridiculous now. A complete overhaul of football financing is needed. (And if that means we have to put up with Man City not winning the champions league every year then I think we will cope!)

Very interesting article. Turning a blind eye to worker exploitation is obviously not defensible. But better opportunities needed to be provided to affected workers when factories close. Failure of policy.
