I'm going to do my part to stigmatize the use of AI in learning and creative work, especially writing. This is soul-deadening behavior. I will think less of you — professionally and personally — if you approach your work like this.

I just hate ChatGPT and its ilk so much. I'll never use it. I don't want another workshop on its creative use within the university. It brings nothing to our journey to struggle with, understand, and express what it means to be human, and that's a large part of the whole point.

Columbia council chambers are so full the city has had to open an overflow room elsewhere in the building — the big item on the agenda is a vote on repealing the city’s conversion therapy ordinance that AG Wilson has called unconstitutional.

A request! I'm assembling my tenure portfolio this summer, and if you've ever assigned any of my work to a class, could you DM me?

Visited the Baymont in early April to write something small on a handful of folks being forced out of a free housing program. Ended up spending two months reporting on a story that continuously got messier and more tragic, with people losing their homes every week. Give it a read

Dear colleagues: Don't make another mistake in dragging our country into another war. You can stop the President and the war mongers in Congress by signing on to our War Powers Resolution.
