The Katherine River is starting to rise after 90mm of rain fell in the catchment over the weekend. Currently 0.34m at the bridge which is pretty grim. Looks like more rain is coming though, so hopefully the wet season is finally heading our way...

“I think there’s a lot of pressure on this little tropical low in the #TopEnd to do an awful lot for a lot of people- everyone is hopeful it’ll bring rain everywhere for everybody and right now it’s trying” says NTCA Lyndee Severin

After receiving 37 millimetres of rain in #TennantCreek overnight it’s great to see water in #LakeMaryAnn however with drought conditions continuing to affect cattle stations throughout the #Barkly region we can only hope and pray that more rain is on its way.

This is a good look for the majority of the #NT. Widespread rainfall is expected across the #Barkly and the #RedCentre this week as the tropical low passes by. A trough then moves north and refocuses over the #TopEnd this weekend. For 7 day forecasts - ow.ly/R8Ch50y6utj
