It’s been a long journey for me, but I firmly have both feet in the camp that cops have no value whatsoever in improving street safety and all our elected officials and city workers who insist otherwise are complicit in our traffic violence epidemic and climate crisis ❤️

They’re cutting down the portion of Dallas between Beechwood and Forbes to just one lane bc it’s still unsafe…just one more lane to go and my pedestrian plaza dreams will be realized😈

Hey, Pittsburgh Mobility & Infrastructure, this bike lane nice, but it sure would be great if it were properly protected so I don’t have to shout at impatient drivers to avoid death. Will Liberty and Aiken ever have the massive gaps of flex posts filled in to “protect” it, or does someone have to die 1st?

The Shursave plans would have increased affordable housing, density, and transit/food access. It's clear that it's long past time for Mayor Ed Gainey & City Council to update our zoning code. Yesterday I rode to Five Points to buy bread and once again encountered this great Pittsburgh Mobility & Infrastructure intervention to narrow the city owned streets where they intersect with the state owned Wilkins Ave. This slows down turning cars, reduces crossing distances for peds and improving safety.

Specifically, I had a driver harass me for 'cutting them off'. They were basically trying to follow the red line. Driver incompetence is per sempre, but at the Bloomfield Br., the city is long overdue to resolve issues here. Pittsburgh Mobility & Infrastructure Deb Gross Mayor Ed Gainey City of Pittsburgh

With all due respect, this is an awful take on Pittsburgh transportation issues. I'm no urban planner (neither is the author to my knowledge), but I know some and none would advocate for more parking.

Traffic calming is the city's #1 requested service. And guess what? It's worth it to help keep people safer on our streets. Check out our latest @citycastpgh interview. Megan Harris Scott Bricker megaphone.link/CC5513685406
