Today the Assembly will debate & vote on an The SDLP motion calling for a European Future for Northern Ireland - a decision that people here can make under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement by voting to build a new Ireland together. Encourage your MLAs to vote in favour 🇪🇺

The SDLP brought a motion to Stormont today calling for legislation requiring vehicles to stop when school buses pick up or drop off children. The motion was prompted by the tragic death of 11-year-old Caitlin-Rose McMullan in Castledawson in March and aims to create safe zones

Today we brought the first substantive Assembly motion on NI re-entering the EU. Alliance abstained, after slurs and petty name calling. Disappointingly, barely half of SF MLAs bothered to vote for a new Ireland. We will keep making the case for a new Ireland back in Europe.

Today we heard from families who lost children as they were coming home from school. Their powerful testimonies touched everyone in Stormont today. We're pleased that the Assembly has today backed a proposal to change the law to improve children's safety when travelling home.
