INFLUENCES: Unusual male/female art nude #FrenchPostcards, probably late 19th century. Sensual, but not quite what I would call erotic.

MY PHOTO: Julia, 8x10 photo matted in a 1930s silver plated frame. I never print a photo until I've picked a frame that works with the image. This makes for a total package, not just a picture in a box. It also makes every framed piece one of one.

INFLUENCES: Model Jacqueline Schalley by Alfred Cheney Johnston, 1920s. Schalley danced at the Follies Bergere 1925-26, and in 1926 was named the most beautiful woman in France.

In honor of her 92nd birthday: The first photo is Ziegfeld Follies dancer Helen Jesmer, by Alfred Cheney Johnston. Years later Helen returned to Johnston to photograph her daughter Julie Newmar, seen in the other three photos here.
