This week, CSK held going away parties for our Director of Pastoral Care, Br. Bob Malloy. Br. Bob announced his retirement earlier this summer after two decades of serving at the soup kitchen and is looking forward to a well-deserved break as he moves to Capuchin Retreat Center.

A huge shoutout to Lear Corporation and Keep Growing Detroit for helping us out at Earthworks Urban Farm today. Together, not only were we able to work on getting some of the harvesting done on the farm for the fall season but we replaced the covering on the entire greenhouse!🙌

Over the weekend, we received the sad news that our close friend and longtime coordinator of our Rosa Parks garden program, Darryl Smith, passed away on Saturday. Our prayers and condolences go out to his family. May he rest in peace. ✝️
