Nurses don’t want to strike. Ambulance workers don’t want to strike. Patients don’t want NHS strikes. So why does the Government continue to refuse to negotiate with the unions who want a deal to avoid strikes?

Now we know why Rishi Sunak refuses to negotiate with NHS staff. He wants the strikes to go ahead, so he can blame doctors and nurses for his failure. #PMQs

‘Average salary’ this ‘good wage for the uk’ that I am not average!!! And neither is my job! I have three degrees and people die in front of me at my workplace! Stick your average salary!!

Some words go together like jelly and peanut butter… wait, that sounds super weird. A pair of words that is used in a fixed order in an idiomatic expression is called an ‘irreversible binomial.’ ‘Peanut butter and jelly’ is an example of an irreversible binomial. 🧵⬇️

2 things to take from this: - “I worked outside my scope of practice and expect to be rewarded and applauded for it” is a weird thing to admit in writing - you found the job of a resident doctor exhausting after 1 day. Imagine how 10+ years of that shit feels

Lucy B Right so you should be able to see that there is much cause for concern from many doctors who want to train that there are situations where it has been deemed appropriate by some that nurse consultants are considered legitimate to supervise registrars for outpatient clinics.

“As of today, 19th September 2025, exception reporting reform has been published….These changes are radical, and intended to entirely prevent hostile employers from withholding compensation from doctors for the additional hours that we work.” Read how we got here:

After I’d taken my student loan out, the SLC unilaterally decided to skyrocket the interest rate with no warning and no alternative way to finance my degree. Can I sue them?
