Given the Orioles were flat all night, that was nearly an epic comeback. Gunnar just missed going deep to tie it & same w/Alonso. Basallo almost snuck it past for the final out. 3 near misses in a gm they had no right being in. I hate losing, but this team is never out of it.

This would be such an amazing turnaround if he can sustain it. Unreal skills that would be a legendary unlock if he finds it.

After 20 games last year, the Orioles were 9-11. The next game, they would get embarrassed 24-2 by the Reds, which would start a 6-20 tailspin that pretty much ended all hope for the season as well as Brandon Hyde's tenure. This is the time of the year to stay on track.

I actually agree with this. Plus, not only does it set up flipping lineup, but you can’t pitch around JJ with Gunnar and Ward behind him.

Helsley was spiking sliders constantly, already throwing one wild pitch and nearly three others. Throw the damn 100 MPH fast upstairs on that and let Perez chase it or pop it up. What a crappy way to get walked off... #Orioles

The Royals had three sac flies and a run score on a wild pitch. The Orioles scored all five on HRs. Great to get the two HRs, but Orioles need to also keep the pressure on with their rallies.

Last yr, in the Orioles first 24 games (just before the season-ending slump took place), they were 10-14 & lost 5 gms by 5+ runs. In 2026, they're 11-13 (a little better), but have only lost 1 gm by 5+ runs (finale v Pirates). Every gm is competitive. That bodes well long-term.

Well, Coby made that a little extra interesting at the end, but Nunez handles Witt & the O's take the series. Excellent veteran move by Alonso at the end to go over the Coby after the final out. Got our $31M worth from Pete. 2-run HR, BB, 3-6-3 DP and some leadership to boot.

I'm usually forgiving of players who struggle & have faith they'll turn it around (like Cowser & Mayo now). But I'd get so angry w/Crush. Seeing this, I feel for him & how hard it must've been. Perspective is important. He's a human being. I hope he finds happiness post-baseball.

The Orioles hit 6 HRs in the first 9 games of the season. The Orioles his 6 HRs in the first 6 INNINGS of tonight's game. The Orioles have hit HRs in 13 of 14 games, even with significant talent on the IL. We all knew the power would come. It looks like it's here.

Something happened to Coby Mayo in Kansas City. He's a different man. Orioles need to ship some of that BBQ over to Baltimore to have him keep this up...

How many time has an Orioles starter looked good and just fallen apart for a big inning? Seems like every starter has it happen to them and Trevor has had it in three straight starts.

Bradish never looked right today. Hoping he and Rogers just need some warm weather to get right. Also think Rogers just needs some adjustments on two strikes. In come the Astros. Hope to finish the homestand strong before heading to NY.

And I thought Brandon Hyde got an early hook last year. Cora and Thomson, both WS managers, are out before we even get to May...
