Having received the Creative Writing and Visual Arts Bursary from Kilkenny County Council Arts Office, our TYs were busy working with Lynn Kirkham to create a willow sculpture. The design was centere, the joining of our two schools to form Colaiste Abhainn Rí. Well done to all

It was History Week in Coláiste Éamann Rís last week. Our students took part in many activities including a quiz, Tutor time presentations, History riddles and several tours. Well done to all of our budding historians.'

The first project completed by the 1st year students who chose Wood Technology this year, was a very impressive Sweet Dispenser. Well done to all involved.

Our sincere thanks to Pat, Tommy and Molloy Funeral Directors and Sculptors, Callan for their support as we prepare for the school closure event. Always great friends of the school, they have generously offered to clean the statue of Blessed Edmund Rice on Green Street.

Today 60 of our 1st and 2nd years lined out to contest the annual Br Damien Cup. Arles, Westcourt, Mount Sion and Kilbride were represented as great skill and talent were on display. Br Damien would be proud to see so many young men enjoying their hurling ...his legacy lives on.

All ready for our awards afternoon here in Coláiste Éamann Rís. Well done to all of our students who have done so fantastically well this year.
