The state isn't becoming fascistic; it always has been. Protestors during the George Floyd uprisings in cities like Portland and Seattle were met with unprecedented militarized force and masked federal agents shot at and snatched activists into unmarked vans in broad daylight.

An important strategy is to learn to appear and disappear at a moment's notice, to move like water. Render their barricades and kettling tactics useless. Drain their resources and morale by forcing them to pack up and move their heavy equipment as often as possible.

This is how you handle a tear gas canister. Pour water around the canister. That’s to help seal the base of the traffic cone used to contain it. Then you douse it from the top and cover it. It’s extremely effective.
