I went into Nautilus with low expectations. My mistake. 3 eps in and what a rollicking adventure. Tonally in the same ballpark as The Mummy or Pirates of the Caribbean. The production design is immense and the CG on par with anything you'd see on a big budget prestige show.

The Gathering, along with The Jetty, are the best shows the UK have done this year. Compelling mysteries. Beautiful performances.

Julia Cox is the real deal. Surprised her earlier specs Do No Harm and The Takeaway still haven't been made.

The new Melanie Laurent movie Freedom just dropped on Prime. It's a cat and mouse thriller about a gentleman thief. Her last film Wingwomen (Voleuses) was one of my faves last year. Laurent should be directing the next Bond, or a Charlie's Angels film or a Wick spin off.
