Sometimes winter mornings light up with the most delicate textures and colours. As I walked along the Cromford Canal, the mist rose up into the first rays of the sun hitting the water, the birds drifted through pools of gold, and I felt as if I'd stepped into a painting.

Honestly, the traffic on some of the #peakdistrict roads these days! You can't help but smile when you drive to work on mud-covered lanes with the first daffodils showing their heads in their verges, the sunrise pinking the sky, and you're held up waiting for the geese to cross.
