Players - You will not get everything on your wish list when you pick a college program. HOWEVER, if you can get 2/3 or 3/4 of your top items on your value list - it may be a good choice for you. Don't look for perfect fit. Look for great fit.

Pitchers - The expectation and bar for pitching velocity has increased. Throwing hard doesn't guarantee success by any means - but it is usually the first metric coaches want to know (right or wrong).

Timely communication is key in the recruitment process. Just the other day had a coach send me a text that said one of the guys we were discussing hadn’t responded to a message he sent 5 days ago. Then he finally responded and then didn’t answer the next text for 3 more days.

One player we worked with chose a D3 program because the final cost was LESS expensive after applying scholarships. This player wouldn’t have considered a D3 program without our education about how they operate. He would have MISSED his best fit! Do NOT let that happen to you!

Players - Do NOT be so fast to turn down opportunities. If a coach is considering you, look into their program and set up a phone/zoom call. Quick dismissals are a mistake.

One of the big ADVANTAGES with working with CAA is that we have 15+ baseball advisors spread across the country. That means more personal connections, more intimate knowledge of geographic regions and a much bigger overall reach to college programs across the country. #caaway

We believe that NAME RECOGNITION matters in the recruiting process. If college coaches come across two very similar players, they are more apt to move on the player they have more information or have seen more. A college coach cannot recruit an athlete if they do not know who
