Morecambe FC are about to die whilst willing purchasers are ready and waiting to step in and take over. There’s a club with over 100 years of history on the brink here with a solution staring Jason Whittingham square in the face. It’s a disgrace and deserves a huge spotlight.

I’ve known Wainy since his playing days for the club in 2008. In recent years I’ve had the privilege of sharing a mic with him countless times on Shrimps Live. His care for the young players development, knowledge of the game and the absolute pride when they succeed shines

Morecambe have till the 20th to survive. They’re not dead yet. Do I believe the owner will actually sell? No. Is there still hope he might? Yes.

Just to be clear, Morecambe FC isn’t dead yet. The Ltd company is still trading, and we’re still a member, albeit currently suspended, of the National League. The accounts reporting otherwise and saying how sad it is just for clicks and clout are turning my stomach. #UTS 🦐

There’s no one I wanted to see more this weekend than Derek Adams. His commitment this summer has been nothing short of extraordinary. Plus, he’s been hit with embargoes, late wages and pathetic budgets during his years here, and does not deserve this. Thank you King. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👑

“I’d be homeless without Derek Adams.” One anonymous member of staff told me this after the now sacked Morecambe manager had paid their rent whilst they went without wages. Panjab Warriors can do as they wish now they own the club, but Adams’ contributions go beyond the pitch.

A week and abit ago, we were practically dead and buried, days away from getting expelled from the league. And today I’ll get to watch my team walk out onto the pitch. Giddy isn’t an understatement. Morecambe FC, the club that wouldn’t die😎
