Great teammates train together in the offseason. Instead of doing their own things, they help each other improve.

As an athlete, don’t worry so much about how you compare to others. Rather than trying to be the best, focus more on being the best version of yourself.

Be a servant leader. Serve the needs of others and put your team’s goals above your own personal agenda!

There are no breakthroughs on race day. The breakthroughs took place during practice when no one was there to see it.

Don’t just be motivated. Be driven. Set your mind on a goal and stop at nothing until you achieve it!

No one cares what you did last year, or even last game. You must re-earn respect every single day!

Summer running can get mundane and boring. And improvements don’t show up daily. It tests our determination for sure. But I can emphatically say that you’ll love the results of training all summer once the season starts.
