I have sad news to report. David Singmaster, the great puzzle collector, historian and Rubik's Cube guru, died on Monday morning after a long illness. He was a unique character with an infectious, child-like enthusiasm for puzzles of every kind. He will be greatly missed.

Brighton mathsjam will attempt to happen for the first time in a while on Tuesday the 20th at 7pm, near the back of the Ibis reception bar near Brighton train station.

This year's Big MathsJam (UK Gathering) will be at Yarnfield Park on the weekend of 11-12 November - booking will open shortly, so check here (or on Mastodon) for more info soon and grab your place!
