I stumbled across this gem from October 2012: “The interesting thing is that it really can't happen, statistically speaking. The odds are infinitesimal -- so small that everyone should just relax.” #HurricaneHilary climate.nasa.gov/news/802/could…

I just finished a new post in my Gentle Introduction to GDAL series, this time covering all things shaded relief: medium.com/@robsimmon/a-g… Only 6 years in the making! #dataviz #cartography

Bonus material for this week's climate graphic, I made this sea-ice animation since September last year highlighting the record low maximum extent last month. Had fun with this one and really pleased how it came out, with a little #Blender action for the relief #dataviz #gistribe

Yesterday's eclipse captured in 2 frames about 2 hours apart, from the eyes of DSCOVR's EPIC camera (epic.gsfc.nasa.gov) parked around Lagrange point L1. I've been working a lot with this data recently, project coming soon...

I’ve been beta testing SageBrush by Gregory Wieber, iPad app where you can sketch to guide a prompt. It’s a truly satisfying and magical thing. Now available:

I'm making an iPad app that lets you paint with #ai – and version 1.5 was just approved! 🚀 At some point you gotta ship – and so there were a lot of things I didn't get into version 1. SageBrush now 20% cheaper per generation✨ Drag and drop images, control quality, and more!
