Brymore gets involved with the village of Cannington’s Britain in Bloom entry every year and this year they won the best large village competition. More wonderfully than that our school won the Bloom Youth Award and Mrs Stanley the Community Champion Award

We rounded off the first half term with our annual Harvest Festival services and the Cross Country and after five races Taylor were crowned victors, but only by a mere few points. We have had a wonderful day and hope everyone has a lovely half term break.

During half term BTCT Trading held an inaugural children’s activity day at Brymore Academy during the October half term with over 30 local children aged 4-10 in attendance. Activities included a farm visit, pumpkin painting, scavenger hunt, arts and crafts & sports and games.

This evening our Prefect Team were taken by our SLT to Blackmore Farm for a festive meal and to thank them for all their hard work helping around the school. The Head Boy gave a vote of thanks to our hosts along with the waiting staff and all of the boys left feeling very full!

Today the boys on the Aspire Programme through the BTC Trust took a trip to to meet TV presenter, broadcaster, author & academic Professor, Alice Roberts. Alice spoke to students about her book Wolf Road, series she has written and presented, & the topics of genetics, archaeology

We had a school from London head down to stay at Brymore last week. As part of their residential experience we organised for them to visit the beach, take part in onsite activities and they all got to meet the lambs and have a farm tour with the Head Boy at Brymore

Students from our four secondary schools on the Aspire programme took to the University of Exeter today for a tour. Inspiring discussions and topical conversations with staff ensued and all have come away thoroughly enthused about university life.

We are so proud of Mollie-Mae Crabb, a previous student at Stanchester Academy, who gained her first cap to play for the Under 20 Welsh rugby team recently. Mollie-Mae has just finished her first year at Cardiff Metropolitan University studying sports performance analysis.
