Today we welcomed our Reception to Year 6 students to school. For some this was their first day at BSB, Sanlitun and for others they were returning for another exciting year. We wish all our students, their families, and our staff all the best for 2024!

Thank you to our dedicated support team who stepped out of their offices and grabbed umbrellas to welcome our students this morning. They escorted students from their cars and the buses to ensure they reached the entrance as dry as possible to start their day comfortably!

Our performing arts curriculum is taught by specialist teachers and supported by our partnership with #Juilliard. Recently our students are learning how to play the ukulele – including tuning, strumming/rhythm, accompaniment, melody, singing, hand coordination and sight reading.

#MidAutumnFestival is a brilliant excuse to devour delicious #mooncakes! Our Year 6 students learnt how to make them (and enjoyed eating them!!) in our great on campus student kitchen! Cooking in the kitchen is one of the most popular afterschool clubs too! #welovebsbsanlitun

Songwriting - Our Year 6 students enjoyed writing their own songs to accompany their ukulele playing. To help them compose the song the students used the BSB Sanlitun six Learners Ambitions: Collaborative, Committed, Compassionate, Creative, Critical, Curious. Well done everyone!

As part of their Guided Reading on #waroftheworlds, Y5 were asked to imagine what aliens might look like - they wrote descriptive paragraphs detailing their ideas about the aliens' appearance and used an AI generator to bring their imagined aliens to life! #artificialintelligence

Our Nursery classes left the campus recently for an exciting outing! We may be in the middle of a big city, but just a short stroll away are a number of green spaces and a beautiful river which allows us to take even our smallest learners on field trips! #bsbsanlitun #schooltrip
