This was Elijah McClain. He wore masks due to his anemia and Colorado weather. Someone called 911 on him and the police held him down, beat him, and injected him with ketamine. He went into cardiac arrest and died. Elijah liked to play his violin for stray cats to calm them.
This is unacceptable. We now need to know more about Robinhood’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit. As a member of the Financial Services Cmte, I’d support a hearing if necessary.
