The City of Richmond Hill today conducted its annual Municipal Emergency Control Group (MECG) training and tabletop exercise! This vital annual event brings together key staff and partners to strengthen our coordinated response during emergencies.

Today was a proud and memorable day for D Platoon as John Robbins received his red helmet — a symbol of leadership, dedication, and trust. Captain Robbins will be leading D-6 and we couldn’t be prouder. Congrats John!

RHFES proudly joined fellow YR Fire Depts in King Township for a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) day! This Ont. program lets high school students explore careers in the fire service while earning credits -& today, they got experience with the tools, skills, and teamwork!

Last night, D Platoon knocked down a residential fire thanks to outstanding teamwork, training, and a working sprinkler system. No injuries reported. Sprinklers activated quickly, helping contain the fire before crews arrived—a powerful reminder of their impact.
