Mrs. Michelle Obama did that! My only complaint about the book was that it had to come to end. Such an inspirational and relatable story. Looking forward to discussing this book at our relaunched event this month. I admire MOs transparency, resilience and vulnerability.

Zora summarized my feelings best, “the white people had held my people in slavery in America (in my case, Haiti). They had bought us, it is true and exploited us. But the inescapable fact that struck in my craw, was: my people had sold me and the white people had bought me.”
