There are some Canadians who are actually more angry and ashamed of a statue being toppled than the finding of a mass grave of 215 Indigenous children. That says so much about us as a nation.

The man who killed four innocent Muslims & orphaned one - was a Grade 8 student just 6-7 years ago. This is *why* we do the work we do in schools. This is why conversations about race & oppression are needed. Embedded into curriculum, into instruction. Educate. #londonontario

This is so indescribably heartbreaking. I feel grief and anger for this beautiful family, the Muslim community, and all victims of racism and hate. We are surrounded by both, and people - children - are paying with their lives. It won’t stop until we stop it.
