With funding from UNDP The Gambia, Bridging Gaps Advisory together with #Master Associates and #Fyen Consulting brought together senior male officials from government departments and parastatals to discuss unconscious bias in the workplace, and how it affects gender mainstreaming.

Abdou Touray, Programs specialist UNDP The Gambia, in his speech said, Gender equality lies at the heart of any development programming, and the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women is central to the mandate of UNDP and intrinsic to its development approach.

Rohie Bittaye Darboe, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare in her opening statement said, this seminar is one way of combatting unconscious bias in our personal and professional lives to promote gender inclusion and appreciation of diversity, especially around the decision making tables.

SaMu Gambia- Lette Jallow from Bridging Gaps Advisory described the workshop as successful.
