Getting new pictures courtesy of Alex Lehnert of the #AlexanderMountainFire currently burning west of Sylvandale Ranch. Hwy. 34 is currently closed between County Road 29 and 43. CBSColorado is currently providing the latest on our stream regarding evacuations.

Aircraft just flew the #AlexanderMountainFire and mapped the fire at 247 acres as of 12:45 pm.

#AlexanderMountainFire Last official acreage 992 last night. Fire crept slowly downhill overnight with no major runs. More information will be shared following morning command staff briefings.

#Breaking: Huge road closure to report on a very popular highway. A crash is closing I-25 northbound right at 104th Avenue. This is in Northglenn. You can see the closures in the area on this CDOT camera.

The lack of truly dangerous wind is the only "good" weather news with the Colorado fires. Occasional gusts of 20-30 mph will continue in the coming days which is not ideal, but it's far from the type of wind we've had with other fires (the Marshall Fire had 110+ gusts) #cowx

NBA Global Ambassador and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo passed away today at the age of 58 from brain cancer. He was surrounded by his family. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued the following statement.
