Great new penalty call “you need to work harder”, I like it, refs should use it more, “number 6, I see you, your not working hard enough, penalty” and so on. Brilliant. #ARGvUSA #RugbyWorldCup

Highlight of #RugbyWorldCup has to be some of the defence, unbelievable, which makes some of the attack even more brilliant

Ref has to stop the constant lazy cynical running back into position from boks, it’s an ancient tactic, they are making a meal of stopping Japan’s free flow #JAPvsRSA

The thing we all forget is when the ABs lose the other team has to play outstanding, England were magnificent, end of story

In 2014/2015, England’s football, cricket & rugby teams exited their respective World Cups during the group stages. 4 years on & the footballers made the semis, the cricketers won the CWC & the rugby side are in the final. That is an incredible turnaround & a lesson to others

All good NZ, all these top teams will have mass retirements after this World Cup, everyone will rebuild and it’s time for #france2023 #inthebag #relax

What is this nonsense about teir one in league? Do you have to beat Oz to be in? Complete bs given the team and the crowds, both codes need to pull their heads in and take the plunge away from good old colonialism, that’s all it is in this age, how good could both games become?

I taught and coached footy in England in the 90s, the talent from inner city schools was unbelievable, but largely unaccepted, it was a posh school game, so good to see so many playing now

big ups to @SparkSport1 coz they have had little, but your music? Who picks it? Very very good, quite different to hear some of those tunes over the last 6 weeks

I taught and coached in England in the 90s, the rugby talent in inner cities was phenomenal, but there was no welcoming pathway, so good seeing there clearly is now Kyle Sinckler

What amazes me after all these years of world cups, is NZ still think we should show the world running rugby is king, maybe it is, but tough forwards and strong set piece win world cups, some of our play under pressure in semi, although not game changing reminds me of this

One of the best weekends of sport ever, #MMT #kiwis #SouthAfrica in fact almost as content as 2015 when we won it, I feel the old cliche “sport was the winner” is in fact utterly spot on today, SA response in interviews is truely uplifting
